Unexpected Holidays to Sabah

Assalamualaikum and good morning dearies!

Last week, unexpectedly i had a call from my aunt saying she wants to tag me along for a weekend trip to Sabah. Apparently, she had to see a client there and decided to bring us just to have fun despite accompanying her at the hotel. It was only a 3D2N stay and i must say we enjoyed every moment once we were there.

Arrived in Kota Kinabalu airport evening time, so we rested in our room before we had our massive seafood dinner at night. Had king lobsters, lemon chicken, buttered prawn, fish, vegetables and fried rice. We slept quite early as we were so full and so ready for the next day trip.

Woke up around 9.30am and got ready for our fun day at the beach. Jesselton point was just 5 minutes away from our hotel. We took a boat ride to the island. First stop Manukan Island and then stopped by at Sapi Island for about two hours before heading back to Hyatt Regency, our hotel stay.

Manukan Island!

What i wore to the beach:
Long dress - Lippy Lito
Sunglass - Charles & Keith
Cardigan - Lalin Closet
Bag - Longchamp inpsired

Sapi Island

Instax!

On the third day, we went to Philippine's Market to buy some prawns to bring back home. And also some souvenirs for friends. We also went to do some shopping at Suria Sabah mall, it's kinda like Pavilion KL but smaller version. Saw this nice printed tribal scarves inside the mall but i don't know why i didn't buy any of it. Costs around RM20~RM30 per scarves. Maybe coz i've been thinking wanna have a second visit. LOL

For those who wanna go for a Sabah trip, go to Kota Kinabalu for a nearest visit to Manukan, Sapi & Mamutik Island. The boat ride for all the islands are not more than RM50 per person. And get your snorkelling attire's ready as you will be hopping from one island to another by boat. As for me, once we arrived there, there were so many ppl on the beach, snorkelling and went to canoe ride, so yeah, i was so lazy to change my dress, whereby i already wore my leggings inside, so i just chilling on the beach. It was okay though, at least i wasn't sunburnt. As i said earlier, i wanna have a second visit, probably on our next trip, i will definitely dive-in, and i'm gonna dropped by Mount Kinabalu (the journey was about 4~6 hours drive, not worth the 3 days trip and also we didn't wanna be late to catch our flight)

Weekend's Getaway: PD Ilham Resort

Last weekend, me and the whole family went to Port Dickson for a short getaway. Stayed 1 night at PNB Ilham Resort, near Tanjung Tuan Light House. It's a 4-star resort and i must say, we really enjoyed it. The room was so spacious, we took a 3-bedroom apartment, and the living hall as you can see just feels like home. Oh and the best part is, they had a FREE WI-FI! And the network coverage was just terrific you have nothing to worry about.

At night, we booked our own 'pondok' for barbeque. The hotel just prepared us some foods such as fried rice, drinks and desserts, and we cooked the bbq ourselves. It was fun though to have a family bonding time like this. And the bbq place was just in front of the beach-side. Could hear the sea breeze while cooking and have our bbq dinner. How cool would that be? =)

Need getaway like this more often ^_^

Singapore Has Been Great #2

Assalamualaikum..Happy Wednesday all..

Wanna update about my trip to Singapore last October. This time, we went to Bugis Street, Paragon, and last stop we visited our relatives, which is actually my mum's uncle and cousin, who is currently staying in an apartment in Woodlands.

Remember i told you that it was cheaper if we go there by bus from JB? Yes, indeed! I think it was only RM5 per person if we wanna go to Bugis Street from JB Sentral. And the bus ride wasn't so bad. Not many ppl and you can always get a seat.

When we arrived, we had to take a walk and crossed the road to get to Bugis Street. It's like a Malaysian Petaling Street, you know. Full of crowds, many vendors selling clothes, shoes, crafty things and also food. We didn't buy much though as we need to stay 'light' until night time. We don't want to hold on to too many shopping bags, plus the prices there are quite expensive.

After that, we took an SMRT (Singapore's subway) to go to Orchard and headed to Paragon Mall to find some goods and chocolates. We even bought macarons, so sweet, yummeh! And we just hanged around outside near the streets just to see the view of Singapore ppl =)

Finally, at night, we decided to shop a few things and before going back we dropped by our Tok's house in Woodlands, it was so easy to find. Just took an MRT ride, and we already reached their place. When i see him, i can't imagine how i missed my late Tok Wan so much. He is Tok Wan's brother and staying with his daughter in Singapore. Mum said we might visit them again ^_^

Til we meet again dearest Tok =)

Singapore Has Been Great #1

I know this is a super overdue story. Some time in October last year (well, obviously i started writing this blog in January 2011 :P), me and the whole family went to Singapore for a holiday trip. Dad treated us with fun at the most talked Universal Studio! Of course we were thrilled with excitement and joy when we heard about it. But, we didn't go there by flight, my daddy drove us all the way to JB, stayed there, and we took a bus ride to Singapore, more cheaper this way =)

It was a 3 days trip (Friday, Saturday & Sunday), and lemme tell ya, it was tiring like crazyyy!! Imagine we went to Singapore those three days but we stayed the nite at JB. And in Singapore, we didn't just sat around, we walked, shopped, dined, and yes, when we were in Universal Studio the second day, that was really exhausting! It opens in the morning at 9.30am and closes around 10.30pm, ppl usually didn't go back home until late because there was a fireworks show every time they were closing.

About the meal, do not simply go to McDonalds there as it is 'NON HALAL'. Inside Universal Studio, there's only ONE place that you could dine-in, the Mel's Drive-In (owh i remembered the name at Fatin Liyana's blog entry {BudgetSingaporeTripPart2}). So we just had burgers from lunch til dinner, amekaw balik JB melantak nasi goreng haha.

Okay, i didn't want to bore you with a very long post, so i shared bout some stories on my next post. Til then, pictures!!

Til next post, Bugis Street, Woodlands, and family relative's visit =)
